Welcome to Scott's Burger Shack, a quintessential gem nestled at 4127 Franklin Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95820. This beloved hamburger restaurant has been a local favorite since 1982, known for its unwavering commitment to quality and the unmistakable charm of a classic Mom and Pop establishment.

Scott's Burger Shack isn’t just about filling your belly; it’s an experience steeped in nostalgia and a love for homemade, hearty food. As you approach the small but inviting space, which features a few shaded tables for outdoor dining, you can almost taste the anticipation in the air. Here, the motto is simple: real food, made fresh, just for you. Scott and his crew prepare each burger and sandwich only after you order, ensuring that every bite is bursting with freshness and flavor.

The menu is a delightful mix of mouthwatering options, but let’s talk about the stars of the show: the burgers. From the Triple Fatboy Burger to the Jalapeño Burger, each patty is grilled to perfection and topped with quality ingredients. The Super Fatboy Burger is a crowd-pleaser, offering a hearty bite for avid burger lovers, while those looking for a kick might gravitate towards the spicy MexiCali Burger. For a change of pace, the Pastrami Reuben and the Philly Cheesesteak provide a delicious diversion from the traditional burger selections.

But it’s not just burgers that steal the spotlight at Scott's; their sides are noteworthy too. Dive into the crispy Chili Cheese Fries or the crunchy Pickle Chips, which perfectly complement any of the main dishes. You’ll find that the fries are as memorable as the burgers, with a flavor profile that keeps patrons coming back for more.

As you settle in, you’ll experience a unique blend of friendly faces and heartfelt service that makes dining here feel like visiting family. Customers rave about the warm hospitality, sharing stories of their favorite orders and unforgettable meals. A satisfied patron, Aaron Ford, even described it as “a very good value and a delicious meal,” while Azuré Lopez couldn’t help but give a cheerful “10/10” for their substantial meals including the triple fatboy combo.

It’s essential to note that Scott's operates on a cash-only basis, a charming throwback to simpler times, adding to its character. Most orders are to-go, with many diners opting for a picnic outside under the shade – a perfect way to enjoy a handcrafted burger and the warm California sun.

For those who love authentic food made by passionate hands, Scott's Burger Shack is more than just a fast-food stop; it’s a piece of Sacramento’s rich culinary history. So gather your friends or family, come hungry, and prepare to indulge in some of the best burgers this side of the river!

Scott's been doing right here since '82. Go Scott. It's not fast food! They cook your burger when you order it. Deluxe cheese burger very good. Maybe too much bun, next time the double. That would make it just about perfect. Four tables on the shady side to wait. Everyone I saw got it to go. It takes a little time but there's a reason hes been here since '82.

It wasn't the best. The chicken tenders tasted a little weird. The burger was good though

The food was really good & fresh. We ordered Hamburgers, Fries & Chicken Strips & it's all made as you order. There is no inside seating, only 3 tables outside. Most orders we saw were "to go". Bummer they are only opened Monday-Friday. We are definitely coming back

The quintessential Mom and Pop Burger joint. I had the Jalapeño burger meal and enjoyed it immensely. The fries had a good flavor to them as well. A very good value and a delicious meal. Staff was friendly and I look forward to my next meal at Scott’s.

I just went today with my boyfriend and we loved it! We ordered the triple fatboy combo, a pastrami rueben, a double bacon cheeseburger, and a side of chili cheese fries. It’s cash-only with outside dining. The lady that took our order was really nice and so was the man who handed our order to us. The sandwiches were great!! Like sooo good 10/10!! The buns used on the burgers are really good quality and hold up well and have a lovely bite to them. The burgers themselves were large and delicious!! The pastrami rueben was also super flavorful. The chili cheese fries were decent but not my favorite (I prefer Willie’s) and our fries from the combo could have been a little hotter, but overall we throughly enjoyed this place. We also ordered an iced tea and it came in one of those huge styrofoam cups. So everything is well worth the price.

Scott's Burger Shack, a staple on Franklin Blvd for many years, serves up respectable burgers and great service. This place is CASH ONLY. If you've lived in South Sac, this is one of those places that you grew up with. The look and feel is the same, it hasn't changed after all these years and that's what keeps me coming back. Only thing different, is the COVID protocols in place - you can't eat at the tables for example. These tough times haven't deterred people from searching for a good burger and that's exactly what you'll find at Scott's.
